pencyl needs a bigger screen

Every board is a drawing canvas with a reference window and a tool bar floating over it. On a screen this size there is no room left to draw — and every score is measured in canvas pixels, so a cramped stage would mark you wrong.

It wants a window at least 768 × 500. Turning a phone sideways buys width but not height, so it will not be enough on its own — this is a laptop or desktop thing.
